Future Food

Food shortages may soon be a problem of the past, as crops grow all year round regardless of the season.

In the future we will enjoy vegetables grown in factories. It's a new hope for food security, with consistent production unaffected by weather, manpower, or space. Production will hold up even if we have fewer farmers like Japan, where the total has tumbled 35% in 5 years.

Organic vegetables will likely be popular. Crops could grow anywhere, because location no longer matters. AI is more expensive than growing vegetables conventionally. But prices could fall with more consistent quality and quantity than ever before.

Future Implications
new generations could become engaged in building food security. In urban terms, smart cities must meet the needs of each citizen, because all of us may have different needs for nutrition.
