AI and Robot Music

When AI comes into play in the music industry.

How will it affect our future? Let's find out together.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is used to improve and facilitate various aspects of life. One of the interesting applications is music, an art form older than language. Music is one of the most brilliant achievements of human creativity and culture – but AI is being developed to enhance it.

AI for making music has made great advances in recent years and is being used to aid the creative process. Performances by virtual robot bands are becoming more common.

Human droids can help children with autism develop social skills and concentration through music therapy. The robot mimics the notes the child plays. Then the child must imitate the robot. The process can help children adjust to society. Software that adapts music to the needs of listeners has also been tested to treat chronic headaches, dementia, stress, and sleep disorders.

Implications for the future

- Artificial intelligence may partially replace musicians by creating algorithmically based music. But will it reduce enjoyment of human-made music? Copyright law is also an area to watch.

- Multiple sciences can be applied to AI to optimize the effectiveness of physical and mental healthcare.

- The entry of AI into the music industry will bring interesting changes and may even cause the communication of culture through music to disappear altogether.
