A zoomer’s perspective – a new generation looks at a changing world
The world’s new driving force is emerging: Generation Z. Born in 1997-2012, they are known as "zoomer" in contrast to “baby boomers”. This “always on” generation were born as digital natives surrounded by technology.
In the current crisis, Zoomer see the financial burden on parents and adults. Amid the pandemic, they face the expenses of tuition fees before entering the labor market. Anxiety over the climate combines with economic problems and global conflicts to make their future seem more negative than positive.
Zoomer don’t believe in older leaders. They use online platforms to share opinions or protest in peace, ready to step into leadership positions in the next 10-20 years after living through economic challenges and the pandemic.
